    Just because I'm an athlete
doesn't mean I can eat anything
    doesn't mean it comes easily
doesn't mean I've tons of free time
doesn't mean you can't do the same
    does mean I care

    Just because I'm a mom

doesn't mean I love to clean and cook
    doesn't mean I gave up
doesn't mean I am no longer

    My upcoming book...

A self-help book on how to live your life with purpose and passion, how to become and stay motivated, accept and love yourself, realize your potential, be the kind of person others want to be around.  A frank, often comical conversation about the challenges of being a "good" wife and mom, while retaining your identity as a woman.

Are you a doer or a spectator?

Submitted by John Clifford (Dighton, MA):
"5% of people make it happen; 15% of people watch it happen; 80% of people wonder how it happened" (unknown author).

Which group do you fall into?

    About Me

    Susanne Navas
    Southbury, CT, United States
Smilepacing is a term that refers to the way that I train and race as a triathlete. Particularly while racing, I rarely look at my watch. I do not want to be a slave to the digits on my wrist, or on my bike computer, as that takes away from the fun of the event. I prefer to pace myself by going as fast as I comfortably can – as fast as I can go while still wearing a smile on my face. After all – that is why I train and race. I chase that endorphin high, that feeling of accomplishment, that knowledge that I am, with each stroke or spin or step, becoming healthier and stronger. And the fact is, if I don’t enjoy something, I don’t do it. So the idea is to make everything fun. With the right attitude, that is possible and even likely. In fact, the smilepacing philosophy applies to everything in life. At work, in parenting, in relationships – seeing the positive, having fun, living with passion, living with gratitude, and making the world a better place - are what it’s all about. I can help you figure out your purpose, and how to incorporate smilepacing into your life too!
